Reina Storm / Kyra
Reina Storm, aka Kyra, is a director and cinematographer who lives in Denver, CO. She has a degree in Digital Media Design & Production.Reina began as a musician who loved rock and metal, playing local shows while living in Chattanooga, TN. In 2022, she moved to Denver to make a new life for herself after retiring from the music scene.Around the time of her move, she discovered virtual reality (VR) and fell in love with the platform. She began using it to create TikToks, and eventually stepped into making short films using VR as the medium.Her first film 'Hope' was an ambient, no-dialogue film that focused on the storytelling of the world through sounds and visuals. This began to define her unique style.Shortly after, she fell into cyberpunk as a genre and began working on her series 'Cyberpunk New Edge'. Using VR as the medium, she's been able to capture the aesthetic of cyberpunk through a unique lens.Spy thrillers like Mission Impossible and James Bond, as well as sci-fi stories like Blade Runner, have shaped her influences for storytelling.Reina's desire is to continue creating visually striking stories that allow her to bring forth a sense of wonder and awe with a touch of connection for the viewer.
